Thetford Folk Club returns on Friday 22nd March at the Carnegie Room
Live music from
- Two Coats Colder – Anna & Ray started playing as a duo at the beginning of 2010 and added Chris and David in 2011. We are all based in and around Great Bardfield, Essex, but spend as much time as we can on the road playing gigs. The name “Two Coats Colder” was inspired by the local wisdom that on the North Norfolk Coast (Where Anna & Ray have a holiday home) is “two coats colder” than anywhere else, at any given time of the year.
- Roswell – After just eight months of gigging together, folk/americana duo Roswell has won Purbeck Valley Folk Festival’s Purbeck Rising 2018 competition, had their debut single ‘Heaven Knows’ selected for Fatea’s Winter Showcase, and have just finished recording their debut EP at the Roundhouse in London. Jasmine and Zoë have been combining their love of intricate vocal harmonies and folk music since they met at an open mic in Ely, Cambridgeshire, last winter, and are planning an exciting 2019 – including releasing their EP, starting work on their first album, and playing a festival in Geneva, Switzerland.
- Brian Crockett – Suffolk singer songwriter with a 3½ octave vocal range. He sings tenor for close harmony a capella group the VIPs and is a regular performer at folk clubs and festivals in the area as a solo artist and as part of a duo.
Doors open 7:30pm – Tickets £5 from Leaping Hare
