As part of our work to tackle the issue of bullying across Norfolk we are working with schools and with Norfolk County Council to create young-person friendly anti-bullying policies.
We are working to rewrite Norfolk County Council’s vulnerable young person’s policy, and Young Commissioners arranged for the Diana Trust, the Ofsted recognised provider of Anti-Bullying Training, to train over 100 school students and staff from across the county as Anti-Bullying Ambassadors.
We have worked with Rita Adair, senior psychologist at Norfolk County Council to deliver ZAP anti-bullying training in primary schools and to other young people.
Young Commissioners represented the UK at the World Anti-Bullying Forum 2019 in Dublin.
We worked with local studio Indigo Illusions to share our learning from the Forum by creating a young person friendly animation about bullying which will be used in schools around Norfolk: 10 Steps to Anti-Bullying.

Breckland Youth Advisory Board received the Anti-Bullying Organisation of the Year Award at the Ben Cohen StandUp Foundation award ceremony in 2019. The Ben Cohen StandUp Foundation is the world’s first foundation dedicated to raising awareness of the long-term, damaging effects of bullying by connecting communities and raising funds to support those doing real-world work to eradicate bullying.
